Shop is spotless and the lobby is inviting. Staff is increadibly knowledgable and kept me informed at each stage of diagnostic and repair. Hands down the best european car shop I've been to in the last 5 years and I cannot recomme d high enough.

I’d pass! From out of town. Daughter goes to school in town. So more of a hassle dealing with issue and really needed a reliable euro-car mechanic. Check engine light came on. Misfire code. She took it to them. Told me the quick/normal work “should” fix the problem. They put in new coils and plugs. Even after they put the car back together. They said was still shaky but light was “off”. Put in fuel injector and we will see what happens. As soon as we picked car up(drove not even 5 miles) the check engine light came back on. After about a 3k bill. Business was closed when pick up vehicle, so next business day I called. They pretty much said sorry, bring it back in, “but we will charge you” I understand that most of the time these normal fixes typically fix the problems but when you know it’s still acting funny or I call and let you know they light is back on, maybe stand by your work or realize you didn’t properly troubleshoot or check all boxes when doing diagnostics. Then tell me to bring it back at in at my expense. Took it into an actual dealership and they found the problem a bit deeper. Just thinking this small business could have done better in their diagnostics.

I had never heard of Spallholz until our car started having trouble. Nearly every one I know locally recommended them if you have a European car. Every phone interaction with them was pleasant, they were very knowledgeable and the price was very reasonable for what needed to be done. Most issues I try to fix myself but electrical gremlins not so much. They’ve definitely got my future business if I ever run into anymore issues I can’t fix. Highly recommend these guys.

For context, earlier this January I had reached out to this shop about finishing a separate project on my Audi S4 B8.5 while the supercharger was already off. They passed on that job, which was completely fine, and I had no issue with that decision. Before you label it as "disassembled" or "torn down," I used to service B8's independently. Weeks later, I brought my car in for them to diagnose a known coolant leak and reinstall the belts, as the leak caused both the supercharger and accessory belt to slip a rib. I had already removed the belts myself and left the tensioner slipped to make your work alarmingly easier and had the car towed in, and made it clear at intake that the car was actively leaking coolant. (Linda seems to have ignored what I said entirely, as the technician pressure tested with no idea it was leaking coolant.) I have had my car serviced by ABR Houston, Das European Autohaus, Audi Grapevine, and Audi North Houston, Eurocharged Houston, etc so I have a solid frame of reference for what competent communication, documentation, and diagnosis should look like from an Indy European/Audi shop. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. The information I gave at intake
